The Same Honest Mechanic Oxnard Has Trusted For Years
Our story
Honest Work, Family Values
El Puente Auto Care & Muffler is a family-run shop in the heart of Oxnard, owned and operated by Andres (Andy) and his wife Amalia. For years, drivers across the area have brought their cars here for the same reason: they know they'll get a straight answer and a fair price.
We walk every customer through the problem, the cost, and the timeline before any work begins — no surprises, no upsells, no laundry list of "problems" that weren't really there. Whether it's a full diagnostic, general repair work, or muffler and exhaust service, we treat your car like it's our own.
That approach has built relationships that last. Some of our customers have trusted us with their vehicles for 15 years and counting, and many more have made us their shop for life after just one visit.
- Owner-operated by Andy & Amalia
- Customers trust us for 15+ years

What customers say
“I have been faithfully coming back to this shop for many years!!! Hands down the best service I've ever had, best prices and most importantly the quality work for the best price! The owner and his wife are by far one of the most honest and best people that have ever worked on my car. I will continue to send people his way. Do not go anywhere else, the best place in Ventura County!”
“Andi and his wife (mostly dealt with the wife - who was FANTASTIC) helped me out when I was out of state visiting my Mom. Mom referred me to El Puente because they are reputable and honest, and she gets her repairs done there. She was able to offer a reasonable discount and engaged in light conversation and jokes, and importantly was knowledgeable and detailed regarding the work. Definitely reputable and honest!”
“Andres, his wife Amalia, and his team really renewed my faith in mechanic shops. They gave me the breakdown of the labor and issue and how to fix it, set me an appointment date and time period and told me the total cost upfront. He will be my new choice in mechanics from now on. Thank you Andres and Amalia.”
